So, in case you have been wondering if we fell off the earth, the answer is NO. We have been spending a wonderful summer here at our cabin in Jemez Springs, NM. It has been resoundingly quiet, peaceful and without political BS.
We left DC in mid-May after packing the house in March, living in a friends basement for 2 1/2 months (lovingly referred to as the submarine), and selecting a few items to haul across the country. You can see that the truck is fully loaded with all of those essential items.
When we arrive at the cabin, we usually have one week to complete a rather substantial list of upgrades and projects. I can't tell you how lovely it is to have 2 1/2 months to do whatever we want (which includes reading, napping, playing cards and a few projects, naturally).

We had a wonderful time visiting with friends and family along the way. A HUGE thank you to all of you who put us up -- we really enjoyed catching up with many friends that we had not see in donkeys years and also had a very special visit with Steve's parents (Bill & Marilyn Wright) during our stop in Springfield, MO.
